Step right into the warm, welcoming space of Mana Cavy/Guinea Pig Rescue! Guided by our values of care, education, and rehoming, our devoted volunteers work their hearts out for the well-being of our furry guinea pig friends. We aim to teach everyone - from owners to the general public - about these charming creatures and their needs.
It's not just about care, though. We strive to give our guinea pigs a new lease on life through our dedicated rehabilitation efforts, whether their situation is big or small. Once they're ready, we take the utmost care in finding them a loving, forever home that meets our standards.
Our approach is simple - we respect everyone, and judgment is checked at the door. We're here to help and spread the love for guinea pigs far and wide. Come join us on this exciting journey, where every step we take is a pawprint towards a better world for these delightful animals!

EducationEducation is an important part of our rescue, as without knowledge, we cannot expect awareness. Therefore, it is a massive focus on educating all ages. We regularly do school visits to educate, as well as workplace visits and activities such as Girl Guides. All our volunteers are knowledgeable and work alongside vets to ensure accurate and helpful information. Our volunteers would never judge anybody, we are only here to help! We also offer anonymous questions which we will answer and share on our facebook page. The Rescue also reguarly posts helpful information and have a free care guide with (almost) everything you need to know about Guinea Pigs!

Rehabilitation |
A massive part of our rescue is Rehabilitation. We receive Guinea Pigs in many states, from mite infestation through to pregnancy. We offer Guinea Pigs Vet treatment who need it. We also treat every single guinea pig for mites, trim nails, trim teeth (as we have been trained by vets), bath and ensure the guinea pigs gain adequate weight before rehoming them. We also place a massive emphasis on daily handling to ensure sociable and happy Guinea Pigs. This work is not possible without our supporters, being volunteer based, we receive no government funding and require support from volunteers and most importantly all of our supporters!
